Our Roots

e-gadgetshop.com was officially launched in August 2015 post the successful acquisition of an existing ecommerce business called ShopLess by Kim Reid and the US based Hedge Fund, Tiger Global.

The business was initiated with a simple vision in mind: To be the largest, simplest, most customer centric online shopping.

The business has evolved rapidly since inception, opening and expanding warehouses in UK, Singapore, Malaysia and South Africa, while expanding department selection to over 19 departments across Electronics, Lifestyle, Media & Gaming and Fashion.

2015 was a pivotal year in our history, with the announcement of a $100m investment from Tiger Global, quickly followed by the purchase of Mr. Delivery giving us ownership over our own logistics network, as well as the successful acquisition of our customers.

The year culminated in the announcement that bestbuy.com would be supporting businesses with e-gadgetshop.com to create an efficient platform scale and building e-gadgetshop.com into the super online shopping destination in the world.
